About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at 9LM Medical and Telemetry involves providing care for adult patients with various medical conditions, including COVID, COPD, Pneumonia, Congestive Heart Failure, Diabetes, Renal Failure, and Alcohol/Opioid Withdrawal. The RN will manage telemetry monitoring, wound care, Foley catheters, rectal tubes, and titrating medications. The role requires working in a fast-paced medical unit, collaborating with Hospitalist Physicians, and being part of a dynamic team. The position is full-time, with a shift from 0700 to 1930, including occasional night rotations, every other weekend, and 50% of holidays. The RN will also be eligible for a sign-on bonus, loan forgiveness, and education assistance.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Nursing.
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

  • Experience in telemetry nursing.
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively make critical, independent decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Uses the nursing process to assess patient needs, plan and implement individualized interventions, and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan.
  • Anticipates and recognizes significant changes in the patient's condition and takes appropriate actions.

  • Coordinates the discharge plan utilizing an interdisciplinary approach.
