Nursing Assistant Aide

Position Overview: Join our team as a Nursing Assistant/Aide, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting our Nursing Staff in providing exceptional patient care within the perioperative setting. Under the guidance of registered nurses (RNs), you'll assist in meeting basic patient needs and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of admission and recovery areas.
Requirements
- Minimum of at least 6 months of patient care experience
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs
- BLS Certification or the ability to obtain
- Effective communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues.
- Commitment to safety protocols and reporting any observed violations or hazards.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and share acquired knowledge with the team.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Capacity to follow directions accurately and uphold professional standards, including adherence to dress codes.
Responsibilities
- Escort patients and their families to the admitting area as directed.
- Assist patients in preparing for admission, including tasks like obtaining urine specimens, assisting with gowning, and ensuring personal belongings are safely stored.
- Support patient transport to and from operating rooms as needed.
- Aid in the turnover of patient admission and recovery areas between patient admissions and discharges.
- Maintain cleanliness in patient cubicles by dusting shelves and countertops, removing linens, and disposing of waste.

- This position pays a competitive rate of $21.00-27.00 per hour depending on the level of experience.
