About The Position
The Western New York VA Healthcare System is seeking a highly qualified Full Time (Days) Nursing Assistant to serve as a member of the Acute Care Team located in Buffalo, New York. Nursing Assistants will assist medical personnel in the care and treatment of patients, including direct patient care. They perform a wide variety of duties aimed at increasing the comfort and mental health of the patient. They perform patient care and take measures to address the patient's bio-psychosocial needs, personal hygiene, physical comfort, nutrition, hydration, and safety. They will encourage patients with self-care and promote independence, while reporting to the Registered Nurse.
