This is a bridge to a CNA role with us. As a Nursing Aide you will go through the CNA courses and obtain your certification. How you’ll contribute: A Nursing Aide who excels in this role performs patient care activities in accordance with applicable scopes and standards of practice. They support nursing staff and contribute to a safe, comfortable, and compassionate patient experience. This includes but is not limited to: Providing direct patient care including bathing, grooming, feeding, ambulation, and repositioning. Assisting nursing staff with vital signs, specimen collection, and routine observations and report changes in patient condition promptly. Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized patient environment. Supporting patient mobility and safety using appropriate techniques and equipment. Documenting care provided in accordance with department standards. What we’re looking for: About Starr Regional Medical Center’s Etowah Campus: Starr Regional Medical Center- Etowah Campus is a home to an emergency department, outpatient services, an 88-bed skilled and long-term care nursing home, a senior care program and wound care center.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 60 days of hire
  • Prior healthcare experience preferred

Responsibilities
