About The Position
2 West is comprised of a 23 bed Med/Surg Unit and a 23 bed Post-Surgical Unit. We have a very friendly staff who are welcoming and willing to mentor new RNs. We handle medium to high acuity patients with a 5 to 6 patient ratio. Our team is passionate about patient care and shared governance. The position involves assisting licensed nursing staff in providing direct patient care and helping in the environmental maintenance of the nursing unit under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include providing personal care and safety needs of patients, maintaining an orderly unit environment, and facilitating the admission, discharge, and transfer of patients.
