About The Position

Duties Responsibilities are consistent with the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education ( CCNE ), New Mexico Board of Nursing ( NMBON ), and – where necessary – the New Mexico Nursing Education Consortium ( NMNEC ) guidelines, policies and procedures, and standards. Teaching load may be comprised of online and/or face-to-face course presentation, with clinical, laboratory skills, and simulation lab as appropriate based on the nursing course(s) taught. Based on the course(s) taught, adjunct faculty are expected to contribute to instruction within the laboratory and/or simulation setting as necessary while also instructing students in the hospital or other clinical environment. Faculty are expected to use established nursing curricula and the Canvas Learning Management System ( LMS ). Faculty must maintain a safe working environment and comply with all state and federal safety regulations. Participation in departmental meetings and special projects is expected when appropriate. Participation in office hours commensurate with the credit hour load is required. Supervision of students in class, clinical, and/or laboratory settings is expected along with utilizing required policies and procedures in the appropriate student and faculty guidelines developed by the School of Nursing Performs other duties as assigned
