About The Position

Sierra College is accepting applications for part-time faculty teaching positions in all subject areas throughout the year. Requirements

• Master's in nursing or Bachelor's in nursing and Master's in health education or health science, or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience in nursing education and program development.
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ongoing faculty meetings to plan, evaluate, and develop nursing programs.
• Prepare written curriculum revision proposals and self-studies for state regulating agencies.
• Conduct theory classes and supervise students in clinical areas.
• Provide timely feedback and evaluate student performance according to established policies.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours and serve as a professional role model for students.
• Advise students on job and educational opportunities.
• Participate in graduation and other student award ceremonies.
• Maintain currency in nursing and nursing education trends.
• Attend local professional nursing meetings and participate in departmental activities.
