About The Position

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent international organization that provides medical care to the people who need it most. The organization cares for people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, disasters, and social exclusion in more than 70 countries. MSF offers medical humanitarian assistance solely based on need, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or politics. Our international project teams include medical, logistical, and administrative staff, most of them hired locally and working with their own communities. Requirements

  • Commitment to a minimum of 9 to 12 month assignments.
  • Appropriate diploma, degree (RN (BSN / ASN or NP - we do not accept LPNs), and current valid license.
  • Professional experience in a lower-income country or humanitarian context.
  • Minimum of three years relevant professional experience post training.
  • At least 6 months of practical experience within the last two years.
  • Professional experience supervising, managing or training staff.
  • Ability to work within a diverse team.
  • Training in at least one of the following: Infectious diseases, Public health, Tropical medicine.
  • Experience in at least one of the following: Emergency, HIV/AIDS, Neonatal care, Infection Prevention Control, Nutrition, Pediatrics, Pharmacy, Tuberculosis (TB), Vaccination campaigns.

Nice To Haves

  • Tropical nursing.
  • Knowledge of other language (Arabic, Spanish, French).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (especially Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and plan clinical work, primarily involving basic healthcare activities.
  • Participate in vaccination campaigns, feeding centers, outbreak management, or outreach activities.
  • Supervise, monitor, train, and coach the locally hired nurses team in your project.
  • Collect, analyze, and report data.
  • Forecast medical supply needs and monitor consumption.
