About The Position
The Nursery Technician is responsible for maintaining the vegetation cycle of all sustainable plants within the facility. Cannabis is a heavily regulated industry; therefore, all employees are required to follow safety and compliance regulations. The position involves caring for plants in the vegetative state in either the mom, clone or veg room, and tasks may include transplanting, cutting clones, watering, trimming, bottoming, topping, pruning, defoliating, etc. The technician must recognize requirements associated with the strain, growth patterns, and identify anomalies within the plants. Depending on cultivation needs, participation in all aspects of plant maintenance is required. The role also includes reporting any issues to leadership to ensure timely fixes or solutions, using dexterity and precision for manual tasks, meeting production goals while maintaining safety and quality, and maintaining open communication with the leadership team and co-workers. Additionally, the technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all flower rooms, benches, irrigation systems, etc., interpreting and following cultivation schedules, and adhering to department-specific work instructions and SOPs.
