About The Position

The Nursery Specialist/Garden Coach will guide customers in selecting the right plants, offer expert gardening advice, and provide information on maintaining a healthy garden. 

The Nursery Specialist/Garden Coach will use photos and dimensions provided by customers to create a custom landscape design, including plant and supply recommendations, enabling the customer to complete their own DIY project. 

Other Daily tasks include customer service and sales and providing care for trees and other plants.

Requirements

• Experience with nursery operations, plant care, and selection
• Knowledge of irrigation systems and gardening techniques
• Expert computer skills
• Skills in landscape maintenance and understanding of tree care
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and handle overlapping priorities daily
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting and bending
• Passion for gardening and a willingness to share knowledge with others
• Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must pass a criminal background check

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Landscape Design CAD Software is a plus
• Previous experience in a similar role, degree in Horticulture or Master Gardener Certification is a plus
