Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant.
  • Current certifications that meet all applicable state requirements.
  • Strong manual dexterity and the ability to manage surgical instruments with precision.
  • Highly motivated self‑starter committed to patient safety and clinical excellence.
  • Ability to excel in a fast‑paced, collaborative, team‑oriented environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled chairside assistance to oral surgeons and prosthodontists during a variety of surgical and implant procedures.
  • Anticipate clinician needs and maintain a clean, efficient, and well‑organized treatment environment.
  • Support the administration, monitoring, and documentation of local anesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation, and IV sedation.
  • Ensure exceptional patient care by monitoring comfort and safety and delivering clear pre‑ and post‑operative instructions.
  • Prepare, sterilize, and set up surgical instruments and trays in alignment with infection‑control and safety standards.
  • Capture high‑quality dental X‑rays and prepare impression materials as directed.
  • Assist with medical clearances, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure compliance with documentation protocols.
  • Support office operations by greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and managing supply inventory as needed.
  • Collaborate with surgical and prosthetic teams to ensure coordinated, seamless patient care.
