About The Position

MPF Federal is actively seeking dedicated, compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to support high-performing clinical teams in outpatient, ambulatory, and specialty care settings. As an RN or LPN, you will provide high-quality clinical care in support of outpatient and specialty clinic operations. These roles are mission essential, requiring reliability and a commitment to patient care during all scheduled clinic hours, including holidays. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care, while supporting clinical operations, patient education, and care coordination.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program (or military equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year recent experience in outpatient or ambulatory care
  • Current, unrestricted LPN/LVN license
  • Current BLS certification
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing (ACEN/CCNE accredited)
  • Minimum 1 year recent RN experience
  • Current, unrestricted RN license
  • Current BLS certification (PALS or specialty certs a plus)
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced outpatient settings
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities
  • Comfort with electronic medical record systems
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on patient-centered care

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty experience (e.g., maternal-child, lactation/IBCLC) highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient intake, triage, and vital sign collection
  • Assist providers with exams, procedures, and treatments
  • Administer medications, immunizations, and IV therapies (scope dependent)
  • Conduct wound care, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure care
  • Respond effectively to urgent and emergent situations
  • Provide patient education and counseling (e.g., chronic care, maternal health, breastfeeding support)
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Support specialty programs such as maternal-child health and lactation services
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure continuity of care
  • Educate patients and families on medications, treatments, and follow-up care
  • Reinforce care plans and promote self-management
  • Support care coordination, referrals, and population health initiatives
  • Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records
  • Utilize systems such as AHLTA, CHCS, MHS GENESIS, or similar platforms
  • Track preventive care metrics and follow up on labs/results
  • Participate in daily team huddles and workflow coordination
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and safety standards
  • Support compliance with accreditation and quality standards
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and patient-focused environment
