About The Position
The Nurse Technician is a student RN working under the direct supervision of an RN assisting the nursing staff with patient care. Nurse Technicians performs various patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. The Nurse Technician assists with patient cleaning, feeding, and preparation for treatment, takes and records vital signs, changes bed linen, prepares treatment trays and other supplies, and assists nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the nursing staff with patient care
- Performing various patient care activities necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients
- Assisting with patient cleaning
- Assisting with patient feeding
- Assisting with patient preparation for treatment
- Taking and recording vital signs
- Changing bed linen
- Preparing treatment trays and other supplies
- Assisting nursing service personnel with a variety of other patient care duties
