About this unit The Radiology Nursing department supports Interventional Radiology patients pre and post procedures, along with other Radiology patients that require nursing care while in our spaces. We have 3 locations that this role could support, Butterworth Radiology (largest hospital setting), Blodgett Radiology and LHCP (largest outpatient Radiology department). We do over 700 types of procedures. Our provider team is mainly Interventional Radiologists that complete the procedures, along with APP's to support minor procedures. Each campus has 4-7 RNs working per day depending on the location. About Lemmen Holton Cancer Pavilion We treat cancer using the latest technologies and treatments including gene sequencing of tumors, targeted therapy and advanced oncology surgery techniques. We use a team approach to care, bringing together different areas of expertise that specialize in any type of cancer. Scope of work Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider. Responsibilities include taking the patient back getting vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.
