Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Provider or Registered Nurse (RN) in the examination and treatment of patients to facilitate clinic flow and provide excellent patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and policies; communicates observations to members of the health care team. The role provides support to facilitate safe, quality patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider, consistent with clinical policies, procedures and department standard work. This includes identifying health maintenance gaps, documenting in the electronic health record, actively participating in safety initiatives, collecting patient reported medication history, allergies, risk screenings, medical history, vital signs, and samples. The Nurse Tech also performs minor testing, assists with stocking supplies, cleans patient's environment/work area/equipment, and performs and documents required clinical logs and CLIA waived laboratory tests. The position requires demonstrating a high standard of moral and ethical behavior, committing to continuous improvement of the patient experience, and advocating for privacy, confidentiality, and security of patient, staff, and organization data. Adherence to the organization’s published values, standards, and policies is essential.
