About The Position
About the unit We provide inpatient bedside care for mainly the General Medical Patient Population, which could be patients with a wide variety of diagnoses, pneumonia, cellulitis, kidney failure, hyperglycemia, Diabetic Issues, Ulcers, Confused Elderly, Alcohol Abuse, Acute/Chronic Kidney Injury, Sepsis, Psychiatric Population. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
Responsibilities
- taking vitals
- checking blood sugars
- bed baths
- ambulating
- wound care
- catheterization
- acting as a safety attendant for patients
- Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider.
- Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team.
