About The Position

The RN Tech II position in the ER department involves providing quality care under the direction of a physician or RN/LPN. The role requires delivering nursing interventions based on professional judgment to meet individualized patient needs, promoting restorative health, and utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in the ADN/BSN RN program of an accredited School of Nursing Program
  • Completed 2nd semester and is in the 3rd semester of the RN program
  • CPR Certification
  • Accu-chek
  • Preventive skin care
  • Aseptic wound care/dressing change

Nice To Haves

  • Phlebotomy and Foley insertion/care is postponed until student/employee has reached RN Tech II or at the discretion of the director based on employee performance

  • Establishes a safe, supportive work environment that promotes teamwork
  • Provides patient care by collecting, monitoring, and reporting information and responding to basic needs

  • Demonstrates infection prevention behaviors, consistent hand washing, and use of appropriate PPEs
