About The Position

This will be a float role, crosstrained to cover shifts for Med Surg, ER and OB within Ludington Hospital. Scope of work Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and communicates observations to members of the health care team. Collects and reports physiological, psychological, sociocultural and spiritual needs of patients and families in coordination with and as delineated by the RN or Provider. Responsibilities include taking vitals, checking blood sugars, bed bathing, ambulating, wound care, catheterization and acting as a safety attendant for patients. Ensures that required documentation is performed in an accurate and timely manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days

Nice To Haves

• CNA Certificate is preferred
