6 North is a Cardiovascular inpatient unit within Butterworth Hospital that specializes in caring for adult patients with Heart Failure, cardiac dysrhythmias, newly implanted pacemakers and defibrillators, pulmonary hypertension and cardiac conditions requiring medical treatment. Most patients receive continuous telemetry monitoring. Individuals would want to work on this unit do to the large variety of cardiovascular and progressive care experiences that allow for a robust skill set. The culture of this unit is team work and support. Staff works closely with physicians and other healthcare providers and services to provide optimal care in the inpatient setting. Scope of Work Nurse Technicians act as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN).
