About The Position

A Nurse Tech 2 is a non-licensed health care provider, responsible for assisting in the direct and indirect care of patients under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse. The NT-2 learns the role of the RN by assisting and observing the RN. The NT-2 is an integral part of the Nursing care team and assists with hourly rounding, responding to patient and family requests and meeting the needs of customers to promote a positive patient experience.

The employee must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served on the C/W5-OB/GYN unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status.

Requirements

• Will consider a nursing student (RN or LPN) within 6 months of graduating from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS completed prior to going to unit/department and maintained going forward.
• De-escalation training.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Tech work experience
