About The Position

Golden Years Homestead is a mission-driven, faith-based organization committed to providing exceptional care to our residents while supporting and valuing our team members. We are looking for a dedicated Weekend RN Supervisor to lead our nursing staff in delivering high-quality care and service in both our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living departments. As the Weekend RN Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing clinical care and nursing services during your assigned weekend shifts. This includes supervising direct care staff, ensuring care plans are followed, and promoting a culture of respect, professionalism, and compassion.

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Indiana (RN preferred)
  • Must maintain active licensure in good standing
  • Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living required
  • Familiarity with MDS processes and care planning
  • Experience using electronic medical records
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional, dependable, and flexible
  • Comfortable using basic software (Email, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs occasionally and 60 lbs frequently
  • Ability to assist with resident transfers using proper body mechanics
  • Frequent walking, sitting, talking, and manual dexterity required
  • Must work every Saturday and Sunday
  • Occasional evening or holiday availability and participation in on-call rotation

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing staff and ensure high-quality care for residents
  • Oversee admissions, discharges, and transfers as assigned
  • Develop and initiate individualized care plans
  • Communicate changes in resident conditions to appropriate staff, families, and physicians
  • Participate in quality assurance and compliance efforts
  • Supervise and ensure adherence to federal, state, and facility guidelines
  • Conduct regular team meetings and provide ongoing support and education
  • Address and resolve resident, family, or staff concerns
  • Support EMR (Electronic Medical Record) initiatives and ensure accurate charting
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Provide direct nursing care as needed
