About The Position

The River Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join their team of Nurse Supervisors. Our part-time Nurse Supervisors work two 12-hour shifts weekly. Job purpose A clinically competent registered, licensed nurse who provides immediate, specialized patient care with a multidisciplinary Provider team. Must possess the basic and advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the nursing care delivered, and the organizational day to day structure of all units within the hospital.

Requirements

Valid and current registration, New York State RN license
BLS upon hire, ACLS and PALS certification
Minimum of five years of nursing experience in direct patient care.
It is the employee’s responsibility to know the requirements for certification, limited permit and licensure for their individual profession.
It is also the responsibility of the employee to notify the employer of the status of any certification or licensure issue or potential issue.
The employee will comply with all of the requirements outlined by the New York State Office of professions for the particular profession.
Regular day, evening, night and weekend shifts.
OSHA Category A – potential for exposure to blood and other infectious body substances.
Bending, lifting, standing, walking, must possess the physical ability to perform CPR.
