Supervising all aspects of the Inpatient Nursing Department. Collaborates regularly with Leadership in the development and implementation of administrative and operational activities of Inpatient. Assists with development and execution of goals such that they support the organizational mission and strategic plan of COH Atlanta. Responsible for collaborating and communicating with patients, management team, center stakeholders, medical staff, and hospital staff to enhance the quality and efficiency of health care delivery. Serve as a point of contact for the development of inpatient management throughout the continuum of care, promoting best practices and quality of life. Ensures that Inpatient provides clinical coordination of care and services for all patients while supporting the mission of COH by treating patients as a whole person in a compassionate and caring environment. Ensures adherence to all state and federal regulatory requirements. The successful candidate: Must be able to work 7:00 am - 5:30pm Monday-Thursday. Provides leadership, guidance, and coaching to inpatient nursing and clinical staff, including RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and other stakeholders. Supports hiring, onboarding, orientation, and preceptor assignment for new staff; assists with competency management and continuing education. Coordinates staffing, scheduling, and daily operations to ensure safe, efficient patient care and appropriate coverage. Serves as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and service excellence aligned with organizational values. Delivers direct patient care as needed to support staffing needs during high census, absences, or unexpected situations. Promotes patient-centered care through effective communication, education, and responsiveness to patient and caregiver needs. Assists with development and execution of inpatient goals, performance improvement initiatives, and monitoring of key performance indicators. Supports implementation and adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (e.g., JCAHO, IDPH, QOPI). Fosters collaboration across departments, positively influences team culture, and addresses concerns constructively. Encourages continuous improvement, lean practices, professional growth, and ongoing staff development. Promotes patient safety, manages variance reporting, and responds appropriately to safety events and organizational disaster protocols.

Requirements

  • Current Georgia State Registered Nurse License required
  • BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date.
  • Current BLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire)
  • Current ACLS required (Obtain AHA certificate within 30 days of hire)
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Management experience preferred
  • Oncology experience preferred
