The Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative ( NPQIC ) is a nonprofit organization committed to enhancing evidence-based and equitable healthcare delivery and access for all Nebraska mothers and newborns. By partnering with birthing facilities, healthcare providers, nurses, patients, public health agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders, NPQIC facilitates collaborative learning, provides rapid response data, and offers quality improvement science support to achieve systems-level change. The Perinatal Quality Nurse Specialist brings essential nursing and perinatal clinical expertise to the collaborative. This role is central to translating quality improvement science into clinical practice through the development of education, clinical tools, and evidence-based resources. The position requires a clinical expert who can effectively provide consultation, technical assistance, and capacity-building support to hospital teams across Nebraska. This individual will promote adherence to national clinical standards and support the design, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing sustainment of statewide quality improvement initiatives targeting birthing facilities and clinics across Nebraska. Working closely with the Executive Director, Program Managers, Medical Directors, other NPQIC team members, and hospital quality improvement teams, this position requires the ability to travel throughout Nebraska to conduct site visits, provide education, and support stakeholders in implementing quality improvement initiatives.
