About The Position
To provide a campus health service program that meets state and local requirements that is delivered in a manner that is sensitive to student/staff diversity and promotes and preserves student and family autonomy, dignity and rights. To coordinate with other student services to focus on the health-related needs of students and their families.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Texas
- Associate degree in Nursing, or higher, from an accredited college or university
- Certification in CPR, vision, hearing, spinal and acanthosis nigricans
- Two years' experience in Community Health and/or Pediatric nursing
- Knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act
- Thorough knowledge of the nursing process
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of school law relating to health services and special education
- Familiarity with computers
Responsibilities
- Supervise licensed vocational nurse assigned to campus
