About The Position

We are seeking an experienced nurse with a pulmonary or critical care background to work with children in a non-clinical setting. This position is for an LPN/RN to provide individual care for an adolescent male in the University area of Charlotte. The role involves following a care plan for activities of daily living (ADLs), trach care, and ventilator management, specifically with the LTV 1150 ventilator. The nurse will meet the child at home, provide transportation to school, and assist with classroom activities while ensuring the child's medical needs are met.

Requirements

• Must have at least one year of direct care nursing (LPN/RN) experience within the last 3 years
• Will consider New Grad RN's with LPN experience
• Must have at least 6 months of Tracheostomy (Trach) experience
• Must have at least 6 months of Ventilator (Vent) experience; LTV 1150 experience preferred
• Must have CPR Certification (no online courses)

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow Care Plan for ADLs
• Provide Trach care
• Administer care for LTV 1150 Vent
• Monitor and manage seizures
• Escort child in wheelchair to and from classroom activities
• Administer medications and feed through G-tube
• Provide direct care during transportation to and from school

Benefits
