About The Position

Are You a Versatile Nurse Looking to Make a Real Difference? Do you possess the clinical skills of a medical nurse, the empathy of a psychiatric nurse, and the patience of a pediatric nurse? We are seeking a dedicated 3-year experienced RN to join our Residential Treatment Facility. Our facility cares for youth who may have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) which are potentially traumatic events occurring before age 18, including abuse, neglect, and household dysfunction. We recognize that the best care for youth is holistic, blending high-level medical care with comprehensive emotional support.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum 3 years of clinical RN experience, with a combination of Med-Surg and either Pediatric or Mental Health settings.
License: Current Registered Nurse License in NY State.
Certifications: CPR/BLS required.
Skills: Exceptional critical thinking, de-escalation skills, patient triage, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Must pass physical.
Must be able to complete TCI training.

Responsibilities

Integrated Care: Provide basic nursing care to pediatric patients onsite.
Triaging complex medical needs that are complicated by behavioral health crises in conjunction with community providers and community hospitals.
Clinical Leadership: Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and pediatricians to implement holistic, evidence-based treatment plans by attending treatment reviews.
Medication Management: Administer medications, monitor for effectiveness, and assess side effects (psychotropic and medical). Attend Medication Reviews.
Youth Education: Provide guidance to youth on health management, growth, development.
