Requirements

  • BSN is preferred.
  • Current licensure in Massachusetts as a registered nurse is required.
  • Neuro and critical care experience are preferred, but candidates with experience in general acute care and demonstrating a strong interest in the neuroscience specialty will also be considered.
  • Ideal candidate has 2 years recent acute care RN experience; new grad RNs will not be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a 22-bed adult ICU caring for critically ill patients who have a range of neurological diagnoses such as neurotrauma, status epilepticus, stroke and spinal cord injury.
  • Care for patients with complex comorbidities and multisystem organ involvement.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
  • Engage in unit-based research efforts recognized globally.
  • Provide care for patients requiring life support systems, including mechanical ventilation and medication via continuous infusion.
