Nurse RN/LPN - Part-Time-Night Shift
About The Position
Are you a nursing student looking for hands-on clinical experience or a retired nurse who wants to stay engaged in patient care on a flexible schedule? We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled RN or LPN to join our team for a part-time 12-hour night shift (one night per week). This role allows you to provide skilled, hands-on care in a 12 bed, supportive, homelike environment with excellent staffing ratios and a focus on quality care without burnout. You will work alongside CNAs and collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) to ensure clinical best practices are followed. Competitive differentials for second shift, overnight shifts and weekends. For those interested, there is also the opportunity to pick up additional on-call shifts at $4/hr, providing extra income if desired. Why Join Us? Requirements
- Active RN license in the State of Maine
- Skilled nursing experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Straight catheterization
- G-tube care
- Ostomy/Colostomy care
- Phlebotomy
- IV therapy
Nice To Haves
- Tracheostomy (trach) care
- Ventilator (vent) management
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care during assigned night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Complete accurate documentation and MAR entries.
- Monitor and assess client conditions.
- Support CNAs during care as needed.
- Ensure adherence to clinical standards and best practices.
- Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive overnight environment.
- Participate in hands-on teaching and guidance for CNAs and nurses as needed.
