The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to, the following: Implementing Patient First's policies and procedures; Offering quality nursing care and generating a genuinely warm and friendly atmosphere for patients and employees; Providing nursing care in the ambulatory setting to individual patients and families; Using sound judgment when administering medical care and screening patients; Administering medications and knowing correct dosage, actions, and side effects of each medication administered; Assisting the physician in all emergency cases; Providing positive, warm and friendly customer service in all interactions; Fostering teamwork and a positive, professional atmosphere; Completing other duties as directed. Since opening our first medical center in 1981, Patient First's vision remains the same: making access to quality medical care as convenient and cost-effective as possible. To achieve this objective, we have adopted and continue to embrace many innovative operating systems and practices. All 78 Patient First centers in the mid-Atlantic region are open every day of the year- including weekends and holidays. Patient First provides both primary and urgent care services as well as a broad range of Occupational Health services. X-rays, lab tests, and prescription drugs are available on-site to save time and reduce the need for extra trips.

  • Employee must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Keyboarding experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Licensed to practice as a Nurse in the state of Virginia
  • One year of clerical experience preferred
  • One year of clinical experience with administration of medications preferred
  • Medical candidates with at least 1-2 years of experience in a physician's office or hospital setting are preferred
