About The Position

The RN/LPN position involves providing quality and safe nursing care to clients in a home-care long-term setting. The role requires shift work of 12 hours, with options for part-time or full-time schedules. Nurses will be responsible for administering medications and treatments according to physician orders, ensuring that care reflects the client’s healthcare plans, and promoting the health, safety, development, and independence of clients. Responsibilities include completing thorough assessments every shift, which encompass vital signs, functional status, medication reviews, and pain management effectiveness. The position also involves utilizing equipment safely, maintaining a clean environment, assisting with daily living activities, and staying current in clinical knowledge through continuing education.

Requirements

• Current nursing license as Registered Nurse with at least one year of experience in nursing.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective time management skills.
• Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to resolve issues in collaboration with peers and supervisory staff.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Alayacare system.
• Experience in home-care long term settings.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments according to physician orders.
• Provides quality and safe nursing care to the client according to physician’s orders.
• Completes and accurately documents thorough assessments every shift and as needed.
• Assesses vital signs, functional status, medication actions and side effects, sensory status, integumentary system, pain, and effectiveness of pain management methods.
• Utilizes equipment and manages supplies in an appropriate and safe manner.
• Provides a clean, orderly, and safe environment for the client.
• Assists with activities of daily living using standard nursing practices.
• Reports for duty on time and with dependability.
• Remains current in clinical knowledge base and skills.
