About The Position

Primarily provides direct and indirect professional nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, surgical, and newborn patients. Additionally, may care for GYN and non-OB/GYN patients when not working in the Labor and Delivery setting and in times of peak overflow from other units.

Requirements

• Associate's degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• New hires effective June 14, 2017, must have a BSN degree from an accredited school of nursing within three (3) years of hire or transfer into the position.
• Current employees hired or transferred into the position prior to August 1, 2013 will be grandfathered.
• Effective 07/01/2018, all current employees are required to have AWHONN FHM Intermediate or Advanced by 07/01/2019.
• New hires and transfers are required to have AWHONN FHM Intermediate or Advanced within one (1) year of hire or transfer if no previous training.
• Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Florida.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• Within 6 months of hire or transfer ACLS through the American Heart Association.
• Within 6 months of hire or transfer Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
• STABLE certification within 6 months of hire or transfer.
