Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Previous clinical experience preferred,
• Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• A nurse resident is an entry level professional nurse who will demonstrate the ability to continuously progress professionally and clinically in a patient care setting.
• The nurse resident will rotate though specified hospital units as determined by CNO and the AVP during the course of the residency (9-12 week period) and receive coaching from the education team as well as the unit preceptors.
• The nurse resident will be responsible for providing the highest level of patient care and customer service.
• The nurse resident, in collaboration with their Nurse Preceptor will provide direct patient care and will participate in all unit initiatives
