Get to Know Your Team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Requirements

  • BSN Graduate of a CCNE accredited program in nursing within the last 2 years (preferred graduate within the last year)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with NJ Board of Nursing or a RN Multistate License part of the NLC Jurisdiction
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) by an institution accredited by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Required
  • Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) required (must be acquired within 3 months of hire, or upon completion of orientation)
  • Experience not required, we will train and teach you
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to changes quickly and productively
  • Excellent interpersonal communication, team-work, and customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all nursing care for patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care
  • Collect patient’s health data; maintaining confidentiality with all information
  • Analyze assessment data in determining patient problems
  • Identify expected outcomes individualized to the patient
  • Develop a comprehensive plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes
  • Implement interventions identified in the plan of care
  • Evaluate patient’s progress toward attainment of outcomes
  • Assist with the plan of care, evaluate, modify and coordinate care, and communicate well with other disciplines
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in compliance with the Board of Nursing
  • Conduct discharge planning, assisting the patient/significant others to obtain knowledge about illness, injury prevention, and teaching
