The Clinical Observation Unit at Orlando Regional Medical Center is a 40‑bed, multi‑acuity unit caring for med‑surg, observation, and progressive care–level patients. Most patients are admitted from the Emergency Department or arrive as direct admissions from physician offices, with typical stays ranging from 8 to 48 hours. Position Summary: The Nurse Resident in the Clinical Observation Unit provides and coordinates patient care in an acute inpatient/observation setting. This includes caring for patients receiving active treatment for injuries, illnesses, medical conditions, or post‑intervention monitoring and assessment. Who This Role Is For: This position is designed for licensed Registered Nurses with less than one year of experience, offering a strong foundation for new graduates or early‑career nurses seeking exposure to a wide range of patient conditions.
