About The Position
The Nurse Resident position at AdventHealth Greater Orlando is designed for recent nursing graduates who are looking to begin their careers in a supportive and dynamic environment. This role is available across multiple locations including AdventHealth Altamonte Springs, Apopka, Celebration, East Orlando, Kissimmee, Orlando, and Winter Park, with the possibility of changes in availability. The Nurse Resident will engage in a comprehensive training program that emphasizes the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. As a Nurse Resident, you will be responsible for conducting timely assessments that encompass various factors affecting patient health, including physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle considerations. The role requires a strong foundation in nursing knowledge, including the ability to interpret diagnostic data and apply this knowledge to patient care. Patient safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all regulatory standards, follow strict infection prevention protocols, and ensure medication safety. Effective communication is also a critical component of this role, as you will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. The Nurse Resident will work under the direct supervision of a preceptor during the training program, transitioning to independent practice upon successful completion of the program.
