About The Position

Join the Cambridge Psychiatric Services, Inc. as we expand our team. Cambridge Psychiatric Services, Inc. (CPS) was established in 1983. We specialize in recruiting and matching psychiatrists to the particular staffing requirements of hospitals, clinics, and other mental healthcare providers. CPS recruits for full-time and part-time staff psychiatric positions as well as for locum tenens coverage and for other coverage programs. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate On-Call Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team of mental health professionals. In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide direct patient care in a dynamic setting providing high-quality care to patients with a variety of mental health conditions. This position offers a flexible schedule, while still doing meaningful, fulfilling work. Our ideal candidate will be passionate about mental health, possess a strong clinical background, and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher.
• Must be licensed in the state of MA.
• PHHNP-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification required.
• Attention to detail and completeness of all clinical notes and documentation in a timely manner.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments on patients.
• Attend to admissions in a timely and effective manner.
• Provide crisis intervention and support, responding promptly to on-call needs.
• Round on all required units on weekend and holiday shifts.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment updates in electronic medical records.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in psychiatric care.
