About The Position

JOB SUMMARY: The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) is certified by the State Board of Nursing to provide medical services under the direction of the supervising physician. The CRNP provides patient medical screenings to determine medical attention, reviews patient medical records to determine health status, obtains patient medical history, and performs history and physical examinations. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description as well as the criteria established by the medical staff. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position. The CRNP must be available to work in all treatment settings, treat dually diagnosed patients and provide care for the population congruent to their certification.

Requirements

  • Certified NP in the State of Pennsylvania
  • 2 years relevant clinical experience in a medical setting.
  • Certified as a NP by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center.
  • Must possess relevant clinical knowledge of the medical and psychiatric needs of all age groups, including age specific growth and development, limit setting, behavior management, and CPR training.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Physical agility to manage patients.
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
  • Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with behavioral health patients highly preferred.
  • Two years clinical experience, preferably working with behavioral health patients.
