About The Position

SummitRidge Hospital –is a place for Healing and Hope! Our behavioral health psychiatric hospital is in Lawrenceville (about 25 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta). We provide psychiatric and substance use disorder treatment to adolescents, adults, and seniors, in addition to partial hospitalization and other outpatient programs (includes a location in Athens). On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at SummitRidge Hospital. SummitRidge is proud to be a teaching facility that supports local nursing students through our dedicated and tenured nursing team.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Nurse Practitioner. The Nurse Practitioner will be the initial back-up to the Nursing staff at SummitRidge for the purposes of determining medical and physical status and for medical complications of psychiatric patients under the care of SummitRidge. Position will also interface with additional medical and professional personnel and Systems/Departments for addressing the somatic concerns of the patients. Finally, this position performs a clinical liaison function with other healthcare facilities and agencies particularly for the senior adult patient seen by the programs and staff at SummitRidge.
Sufficient experience and education to qualify for and current certification as Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia.
Experience in addressing medical/surgical needs of hospitalized patients and in effectively interfacing between physicians and nursing staff on behalf of those patients.

Requirements
