You will serve patients daily in a multitude of ways: What is in it for you The Nurse Practitioner (NP) specializes in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases. They will work collaboratively with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive heart care in our multi specialty practice. The compensation for this position is $60.00 - $65.00 per hour based on experience. Responsibilities Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular evaluations, including detailed medical histories and physical exams focused on heart health. Diagnosis & Treatment: Identify and manage conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia. Diagnostic Testing: Order and interpret various cardiac tests, including EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitors. Medication Management: Prescribe and titrate cardiovascular medications, monitor for side effects, and adjust treatment plans as needed. Patient Education: Counsel patients and families on lifestyle modifications (diet, exercise, smoking cessation), disease prevention, and medication adherence. Specialized Procedures: Perform or assist with procedures such as cardiac catheterization, inserting central venous lines, or monitoring patients with pacemakers and ICDs. Inpatient Care: Conduct hospital rounds, manage pre- and post-operative care for cardiac surgeries, and coordinate care transitions. Performs other duties as assigned or apparent. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in a specialty area required
  • Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice, and current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the state of practice, are required
  • Current BLS certification, required
  • Bachelor’s Degree, required
  • Graduate of an accredited (Accreditation Review Committee for Physician Assistant Programs, ARC-PA) program, required
  • Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), required
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working in cardiology or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to be proactive and self-directed, utilizing good time management, decision-making, and organization skills, is required.
  • Incumbents must be able to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EHR/Billing, with a preference for candidates with experience in AdvancedMD
