About The Position

Highlands Behavioral Health System is an 86 bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Littleton, CO. Highlands features individual units for adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. Website: https://highlandsbhs.com The Nurse Practitioner provides direct client care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, and prescribing pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment of health problems, health promotion and preventive care within this specialized area of practice. In addition to direct practice, the sub-roles of the Nurse Practitioner role include education, research, and consultation. The Nurse Practitioner is involved in practice activities withthe goal of improving the quality of care in both the outpatient and inpatient setting. This role will primarily be covering our adult and adolescent PHP programs (12 patients/program) and will have an inpatient caseload of up to 10 patients per day (subject to change based on coverage need). Requirements

  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • A minimum of two (2) years direct clincial experience in a psychiatric or mental health setting.
  • State registered Nurse
  • Nurse Practitioner specialty licensure
