Requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- State of Texas Board of Nursing Certification licensure as a Registered Nurse and recognition as an Advanced Practice Nurse. ANCC or AANP.
- BLS (CPR) Certified.
- Must go through the credentialing process and be approved.
- Prescriptive Authorization.
- Works under the Collaborating Physician.

Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams, observations, and medical history reviews
- Documents patient histories, symptoms, care plans, and updates records in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Develops, implements, and modifies patient care and treatment plans based on clinical findings
- Orders, administers, and interprets diagnostic tests (e.g., blood work, X-rays, scans)
- Monitors, operates, and maintains medical equipment; ensures quality control and safety standards
- Identifies changes in patient condition and adjusts treatment plans as necessary
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Communicates diagnoses, test results, and treatment plans to patients and families with strong bedside manner
- Educates patients and families on disease management, prevention, and post-care instructions
- Refers patients to specialists and reviews medical records and reports as needed
- Utilizes medical software systems, including EHR, billing, scheduling, telemedicine, research, and e-prescribing platforms
- Ensures daily and weekly environmental cleaning, equipment maintenance, and compliance with healthcare protocols
