About The Position

Banyan Treatment Centers
is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to
join our medical team at our facility in Stuart, FL.

In this role, you’ll provide integrated care to individuals recovering from
substance use and mental health disorders, ensuring the highest standards of
patient care, regulatory compliance, and fostering the growth of a dynamic team.
Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting life-changing outcomes for
individuals overcoming addiction and mental health adversities.

Requirements

• Active PMHNP license in Florida.
• Master's degree in Nursing with clinical training in a healthcare specialty area (from an accredited nursing school).
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including history, physical exams, and psychiatric evaluations.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure integrated care that addresses both medical and psychiatric needs.
• Document patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans based on established policies and guidelines.
• Provide primary care services and medical treatment, addressing both general health and addiction-related needs.
• Supervise and instruct patients in self-administered medications, including injections, while offering health education.
• Review lab results and provide treatment or make necessary referrals to specialists.
• Manage therapies (pharmacotherapy and other treatments) per protocols approved by the Medical Director.
• Diagnose and treat behavioral problems, offering recommendations for further care and intervention.
• Order consultations with other medical specialists when needed.
• Report findings from case reviews and consultations to the Medical Director.
• Oversee infection control procedures, ensuring adherence to proper protocols and safety standards.
• Evaluate patient care daily, review nursing documentation, and communicate with families regarding care progress.
• Provide information to Utilization Review for determining appropriate levels of care.
• Report infection control incidents to the Performance Team and Risk Management.
