About The Position

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide on-site medical services within a federally supported residential youth program in Ogden, Utah 84405. Our client operates a comprehensive residential program serving young adults, ages 16–24. The program’s mission is to prepare participants for meaningful employment and independent living. This role provides direct clinical services to students and collaborates closely with residential and program staff in a structured, community-based environment. Position Overview This is a part-time contract position, approximately 12 hours per week . Schedule: Monday–Friday within center operating hours Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM No weekends required Location: On-site in Ogden, UT (no telehealth or remote option) Scheduling flexibility is available within center operating hours to support student health needs and program operations.

Requirements

  • Candidates must hold an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Mississippi (or applicable state)
  • Current DEA registration
  • Current CPR/AED certification
  • Active malpractice/professional liability insurance and general liability insurance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing primary care services in adolescent health, family medicine, community health, or similar clinical settings preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conducting cursory medical evaluations, typically within 48 hours of student entry
  • Performing entrance physical examinations, generally within 14 days of entry
  • Ordering, reviewing, and overseeing required entry laboratory studies, including: Hemoglobin or hematocrit
  • Pregnancy testing (all female students)
  • Pap smears (females 21+ as age-appropriate)
  • Chlamydia and gonorrhea testing
  • HIV testing
  • Urine drug screening
  • Administering and overseeing immunizations, including boosters for incomplete immunization series, Hepatitis B vaccinations for health occupations training students, and Tuberculin skin testing (Mantoux)
  • Performing vision and hearing screenings
  • Assessing and managing acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Providing prescription services in coordination with nursing staff and the Center Mental Health Consultant
  • Referring students to off-center physician services or specialists when advanced or specialized care is required
  • Promoting preventive health education and wellness initiatives
  • Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with federal program standards and healthcare regulations
  • Upholding all professional, ethical, and confidentiality standards
