Requirements
Master's Degree Required
Graduate Degree to fulfill current regulatory requirements to function as a mid-level provider.
Residency and/or fellowship training completion is required by specialty or appropriate Mid-Level training.
New Jersey Medical License; Board Certification or Board Eligibility in the requisite specialty or appropriate mid-level New Jersey state license equivalent. PALS/ACLS/BLS required.
Strong Medical Knowledge Base in the requisite specialty, interpersonal skills and management ability to provide patient care.
Responsibilities
Assist radiologists in performing and interpreting medical imaging procedures.
Provide preliminary analysis of imaging results to radiologists.
Ensure patient safety and comfort during radiological examinations.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions.
Review and document patient medical histories relevant to radiological procedures
Monitor patients for reactions or complications during imaging of IV Contrast studies
Assist in interventional radiology procedures
Educate patients and their families about the imaging process and potential findings
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records within the radiology department
Stay updated on the latest radiological techniques and practices
