About The Position

Conduct pre-employment, annual, and regulatory health screenings (e.g., physical exams, respirator clearance, immunization review). Manage work-related injuries and exposures (e.g., needlestick injuries, bloodborne pathogen exposure) including assessment, treatment, follow-up, and documentation. Provide post-exposure evaluation, prophylaxis, counseling, and monitoring in accordance with OSHA, CDC, and institutional guidelines. Oversee immunization programs, including vaccine administration, compliance tracking, and education. Evaluate fitness-for-duty, work restrictions, and return-to-work status in collaboration with HR, risk management, and leadership. Diagnose and manage minor acute illnesses and injuries within scope of practice. Maintain accurate, confidential employee health records in compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Participate in infection prevention initiatives and surveillance activities. Educate employees on workplace safety, injury prevention, wellness, and occupational health risks. Serve as a clinical resource for employee health staff and leadership.

Requirements

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current Nurse Practitioner licensure and certification (FNP, ANP, or equivalent).
  • Active RN and NP license in the state of practice.
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred depending on setting).

  • Experience in employee health, occupational health, urgent care, primary care, or public health preferred.
