About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our outpatient General Psychiatry team at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock. You will be an integral part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, working alongside six psychiatrists to deliver compassionate, high-quality mental health care. This role does not include inpatient responsibilities, and there are currently no other APPs on the team.

Requirements

Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the state of Texas
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical team
Strong communication, assessment, and clinical decision-making skills
EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
EXPERIENCE - More than 1 Year of Experience
Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Registered Nurse (RN)
Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and follow-up visits
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in coordination with psychiatrists
Provide medication management and psychoeducation to patients
Monitor patient progress, respond to clinical changes, and adjust care plans as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system - EPIC
Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings
