About The Position

This position is for independent contractor Nurse Practitioners to provide health readiness services to Military Service members under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) in the State of ME. Services are primarily provided on weekends with occasional weekdays, on an "as needed basis". The role involves meeting medical and dental requirements for deployable military forces across various U.S. Reserve and National Guard branches, including U.S. Army Reserve (USAR), Army National Guard (ARNG), U.S. Navy Reserve (USNR), U.S. Marine Forces Reserve (MARFORRES), U.S. Coast Guard Reserve (USCGR), Air National Guard (ANG), and U.S. Air Force Reserve (USAFR). The company has over three decades of experience, offering care delivery through fixed-clinic, mobile treatment center, telemedicine, and portable deployment models, aiming to set a new standard of care.

Requirements

• Supervising Physician may required depending on the state requirement
• Active NP license in the state
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Adaptable to fast paced environments, with large volumes of service members seen daily
• Able to work extended hours
• Able to work in various locations, including remote military installations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge and skills
• Not Required - Diagnose, treat, or prescribe medications

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health
• Experience with mobile medical services
• Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology
• Able to travel, with weekend availability

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using the proprietary system
