About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join Cardiovascular Clinic of Covington in Covington, Louisiana. This position is primarily outpatient and clinic-focused, with limited inpatient support. The NP will work closely with cardiologist to provide high-quality cardiovascular care, manage follow-up visits, and support continuity of care for established patients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established cardiology practice with a strong emphasis on patient-centered, comprehensive care.

Requirements

Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Louisiana.
Prior cardiology experience preferred.
Strong clinical skills in an outpatient setting; comfort supporting limited inpatient consults.
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative, physician-led team.
Active AL license or willing to apply
Open to new ACNP grads with cardiology experience as a nurse
NP Board Certification

Prior cardiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct outpatient clinic visits, including routine follow-ups, chronic disease management, and evaluation of ongoing cardiac concerns.
Support continuity of care by following patients post-hospitalization and integrating them into ongoing outpatient management.
Provide clinical support within the cardiology clinic, including patient education and assistance with diagnostic testing such as imaging, treadmill studies, and cardiac monitoring.
Collaborate with cardiologists to ensure efficient patient flow and a well-coordinated clinic experience.
Assist with hospital-based follow-up and coordination of care in collaboration with the cardiology team.
Support smooth transitions from hospital to outpatient care.
