About The Position

Alamo City Urgent Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their dynamic clinical team. This role is ideal for a provider who thrives in a fast-paced urgent care environment and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians and support staff while managing a diverse range of acute medical conditions.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted PA or NP license in the state of Texas
• National certification: PA: NCCPA
• National certification: NP: AANP or ANCC
• DEA license (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience preferred
• DOT certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
• ACLS and PALS certifications preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care in a high-volume urgent care setting
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform procedures within scope of practice and training
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Actively participate in daily team huddles and support clinical staff with workflow and process improvements
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Utilize and support AI-assisted EMR documentation tools as appropriate
